The Encanto neighborhood (also know as Encanto-Palmcroft) is so unique and an absolute local treasure.

Located in the heart of Historic Phoenix and just blocks from Midtown Phoenix, the Encanto-Palmcroft neighborhood dates back to the 1920's and 1930's and evidence of it's early creation are still visible.  The homes here date back equally far, and have so many  features unique as the architecture and include such things as wine cellars, staff quarters, large lots, huge lawns, mature landscaping, and meandering roads lined with palm trees.

You should absolutely attend the annual Encanto-Palmcroft home tour, which is held semi-annually and gives you exclusive access inside many of these homes.  Some of these homes have been converted to modern masterpieces while most have retained many of their original features with maintenance and updating. 

Honestly, the Encanto-Palmcroft neighborhood should be on your list of places to consider living in Phoenix.  It simply can't be recreated anywhere else!
