Chandler is a suburban city located in the East Valley of the Phoenix Metropolitan area. According to the City of Chandler website, Chandler was founded by veterinary surgeon Dr. A.J. Chandler in 1912. An eastward journey on the I-10 takes residents to El Paso and the Texas border in the same six hour time frame.

Chandler has an excellent transportation system that offers residents options outside of their personal vehicles. Public transportation includes the Valley Metro bus with access to the light rail, more than 400 Chandler Park and Ride spaces, Paratransit, and the free “Ride the Wave!” downtown Chandler shuttle service.

Education is a valued asset in the Chandler community. The Chandler Unified School District is an award winning district with test scores higher than the national average.
